EUROPEAN DESIGN INSPIRATION

There are so many things that inspire us in European design. There is a huge history and an accumulation of styles from south to north and everything in between. The variety of architecture, materials and interiors that are found from the warmth of the Mediterranean to the “cool” (pun intended) of the Nordic countries are a limitless source of inspiration.

Below is a scrap book of things that keep us busy and inspired. It can be anything, but all based on European Design that serves as food for (creative) thought.

This mix of space and furniture is impressive: “ancient” yet contemporary, calm, warm, functional and stylish. Only Italians can create beauty like this.

This German Loft is a great example of a good blend of rustic and modern. The “hardness” of the metal combined with the softness of wood create a very masculine yet warm environment - the definition of gemütlich.

This space-age house is so angular and simple it’s a stark contradiction to the nature around it. A piece of art as a photograph or a painting….and yet it’s a house. Bold and brave.
